Goals // Twenty Fifteen

I’m not a fan of making New Year’s resolutions. Mainly, because they don’t work. Or last.

Or maybe I should be making resolutions like this?

1. Drink more coffee
2. Travel
3. Smile more 🙂

This year, I’d like to set a few goals for myself. Just a few.

Finish two photobooks – Year of 2013 + Australia trip.
If I’m really inspired, it’d even be great to catch up to the end of 2014. We’ll see.
Read Scripture more often.
Work on organization.
Love others well.

This may look like, but is not limited to:
Send more pretty mail, more often. (Inspired by this lady)
Go on a date at least every month with my sweetheart. (Enter a-date-a-month Christmas gift)
Give people random little gifts, just because.
Kiss that sweet little baby face often. This shouldn’t be hard. 🙂
Text friends to ask how they need prayers… and then lift them up.
Have neighbors over for a meal.
Find ways to reach out to people who are a little bit harder to love.

Do you have any goals for the brand-new year?

  1. I don’t often make resolutions either, for the new year, but this year I really felt I needed to have some goals as well. Mine mainly have to do with reading. I love reading, but have really pushed it to the back burner, not because of lack of time, but because I’ve allowed technology to overtake it. I want to read at least 36 books which I think is reasonable and more if I can. I have a tablet with a Kindle app, so I want to read at least one book a month on there. Also one non-fiction book and one inspirational book a month. I think it’s quite doable and now that I’ve put it on here for all to see, I guess you can hold me accountable!
