The {weekly} Daybook, II

Outside my window . . .

Fallish (dead) looking trees.

A cute little courtyard with benches, a fountain, and vivid mums.

Sunshine and shadows.

COLD WIND.

I’m not quite ready for this cold-enough-for-snow weather.

Β
I am thinking . . .
about the reality of spiritual warfare and the relevance to our churches today. We are so clueless about what is going on in the spiritual realm and because of that ignorance, we are missing so much of the battle. How do we become more tuned in and aware of what is happening?
I am creating . . .
…little autumn banners.
…more flower bouquets and fall arrangements. (Only a few more weeks to enjoy autumn!)
…Christmas cards, designed online.
I am reading . . . {Amalyah’s Search For Love, by Harvey Yoder} I’m not very far into this book, but so far it’s been very interesting. The main character is a Jewish girl who grows up on a kibbutz,Β which is an Israeli communal farm.
I am hoping . . .
to take advantage of this deal. Buy One, Get One Free on any Starbucks Holiday beverages today through November 17. (2-5 pm) There’s your perfect excuse to take someone else out for afternoon coffee. πŸ˜€
Around the house . . .
Switched up the decor in our room. Love our grays and reds.

I am thankful for . . .

  • Friends who are open and honest
  • Fresh hot coffee (helps keep one awake during a sales workshop)
  • Laughter (ask me about the tire episode next time you see me)
  • Seasons
In the Kitchen . . .
I made “Skinny Chocolate” for the first time last week. I took the plunge and bought some Truvia for the first time, and made the Coconut Almond Skinny Chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I’m excited to try different kinds now. Have you ever made “skinny chocolate”? If so, what kind and did you like it?
One of my favorite things . . .
Road trips with my favorite person. πŸ˜€
A picture . . .

Lovely to reconnect with this dear friend a couple days ago. πŸ˜€

  1. I’ve tried lots of skinny chocolate variations, but this one tops them all in my opinion! (IF you love peanut butter and chocolate, that is!) We prefer them above Reese’s! 4 TBSP coconut oil, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/4 cup cocoa, 3 tsp truvia. I like to blend it so the truvia isn’t crunchy! I also use a mini muffin pan so they are more like pb cups. Lovely post! I too am sad to see fall leave!!

    1. Mmm, that sounds delicious! Do you grind your Truvia before mixing it in, or simply blend it with everything else? I will have to try this recipe soon. Thanks for sharing!

      1. BTW, I just remembered the last time I commented I was anonymous, and you don’t know me,but I really love your blog:) I usually melt everything together and then blend it before putting it into cups. you could also grind it in a coffee grinder before. I haven’t tried that, but it should work.

    1. Well, we’re gonna be around this weekend so we could *almost* eat it together… except I forgot it at home in the fridge. 😦 (A fact that is annoying me greatly!)
