8.26.11

My favorite picture from yesterday!! πŸ˜€ Congratulations Paul & Sherrisa!!

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Β

I spotted these salt and pepper shakers sitting together on the food buffet table… anyone wanna guess what came to mind? πŸ˜‰ Especially since this song was one of those that was played after the recessional. Love this song!

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
And if we try to leave, may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it’s something worth fighting for
[Love is Not a Fight, Warren Barfield]

I most certainly do not have the whole love thing figured out. But they tell me it’s worth fighting for. πŸ˜‰ I love the phrases shelter in a raging storm and peace in the middle of a war

Verse 3:
Love will come to save us
If we’ll only call
He will ask nothing from us
But demand we give our all
Β
Jesus is fighting for our love, too. Rescuing, pursuing, fighting, loving us passionately. Offering us peace and rest and shelter, in the midst of the storm.
You are worth the fight.

Love this: “Jesus is fighting for our love, too. Rescuing, pursuing, fighting, loving us passionately.” So true … thank you for the reminder.
