From Winter to Spring

Love this song and absolutely loved this card that came for me in the mail!! (Thanks Rachel!) I heard some birds singing outside yesterday… despite the inch of snow on the ground.

New life that literally just happened. (They were hatched at 8 am yesterday) Did I mention that this is some very noisy new life??? πŸ˜‰ Dad’s grape plants came yesterday. Jitters evangelism class starts again this week. Ideas for beginning new things that have never been done before are stirring in my head. April begins tomorrow. Waiting for lots of other new things.

The life is here, just waiting to be nourished and planted and watered.

Sometimes we have to wait for the beginnings and new life to come… preparing and waiting for the snow to melt and learning what we need to learn. Sometimes it takes awhile for the deep down life to begin stirring and for life to be “hatched.” But the life is there – and it will come eventually, when the soil is cultivated, the time is right, and the sun’s warmth touches the earth.

If you’re waiting and longing for spring to come…

It will come.

Take heart! Winter never lasts forever. If you’re still in winter’s cold, barren waiting season – there must be a good reason. πŸ˜€ Keep on preparing and cultivating, for then the growth and new life will be even more full and beautiful!

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

[Though I will admit, the second picture looks much more appealing, but then again – green and spring and wonderfulness is even more fully appreciated when one has experienced every aspect of a long winter]
