It does not mean to be in a place where there is no trouble, noise, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart. (Unknown)

Mom’s name means peace, so I like to give her gifts with the word peace… Several years ago, I found a square card with this quote and framed it for her.  It’s so true! I often remind myself of its truth, when I am feeling turmoiled and very unpeaceful.

Jesus told his disciples, when they were having a hard time understanding why He had to leave them to go back to heaven, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Wishing you a day full of peace.

  1. Oh my! That plaque (?) is so neat! One of my dear friends just gave me one that says REST. I think it’s so pretty…and the photography is so creative. 🙂
