“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to him.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
I’ve been thinking of the words of this verse lately – choose life. If we choose life, we are choosing to LIVE. My heart is burdened for those who are not choosing life… and for their children and those they are affecting.
There’s a huge weight on my heart – it is the awareness of an endangered life. A tiny, helpless 2 1/2 ounce baby. He’s still safely inside his mother’s womb, but by next Wednesday, he may be in the arms of Jesus. Please, please join me in praying that his mother will choose life and not choose death. This little boy may never have a chance to draw his first breath, or to fight for his life. God can work a miracle – with God all things are possible! He can change the mother’s heart and He can touch and heal the body of this precious little child. There is still time – he is still alive, but the need is urgent. Please help me intercede for this little life.
“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless;
maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
Rescue the weak and needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
Psalm 82:3-4 (NIV)
Lord, have mercy.
